Cocoa Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. flour
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla until well blended.
    Blend dry ingredients, then mix in.
    Stir in nuts.
    Spread in well-greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake about 30 minutes.
    Cool; cut into 2-inch squares.
