Southern Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
4 Tbsp. cocoa
4 Tbsp. flour
1 1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

In saucepan, beat egg yolks slightly; add 1 cup sugar slowly until mixed and creamy.
Sift dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture.
Mix until all blends; add milk and vanilla gradually and cook on low heat until thick.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Add 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar.
Top pie with meringue and brown at 400\u00b0.
