Cheese Hash Browns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 lb. frozen hash browns, browned
    16 oz. sour cream
    16 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 can cream of mushroom or chicken soup
Preparation
    Saute onion and butter together.
    Combine sour cream and soup with butter and onion.
    Crumble hash browns, if patties; combine with soup mixture and add 8 ounces cheese.
    Put into 9 x 13-inch pan and top with remaining cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, uncovered.
