Cheddar Cheese Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. diced potatoes
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    1 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    8 oz. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Add boiling water to vegetables, salt and pepper.
    Cover. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes until just tender.
    Do not drain.
    In large pan or Dutch oven, make a white sauce with margarine, flour and milk.
    Add cheese.
    Stir to melt cheese.
    Add vegetables and liquid they were cooked in.
    Heat well; do not boil.
