Fresh Coconut Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 fresh coconuts, peeled and grated (reserve juice to add to filling) *
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. half and half
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    2 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Bring all ingredients except 1/2 cup of half and half with cornstarch dissolved in it to a bubbly boil.
    Stir in cornstarch mixture and continue cooking and stirring for 8 to 10 minutes. Put frosting on your favorite yellow or white cake layers while frosting is hot.
    This will frost three 9 x 13-inch layers or four 8-inch square layers.
    It's very juicy.
