Lions Club Ranch Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. dry pinto beans
    water to cover
    32 oz. tomato sauce
    56 oz. canned tomatoes, cut up
    3 heaping Tbsp. onion powder
    1/2 lb. bacon ends
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    3 tsp. garlic powder
    ground pepper
    salt
    liquid smoke
Preparation
    Soak beans 4 hours or overnight.
    Add tomato sauce, canned tomatoes, onion powder, chili powder and bacon ends.
    Add water to cover.
    Bring to a boil and simmer covered until done.
    Add water as necessary to keep beans covered.
    About an hour before serving, season to taste with salt, pepper and liquid smoke.
    Serves 50 to 70.
    Cooking Time:
    8 hours.
