Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. boiling or all-purpose potatoes, boiled
    1/4 lb. bacon, diced
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 c. water
    1 c. cider vinegar
    1 or 2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cut up bacon; fry with onion until bacon is crisp and onion is transparent.
    Add vinegar and water to pan; when heated, add sugar to taste (sweet and sour).
    Slice boiled potatoes into large ovenproof dish.
    Pour hot dressing over potatoes; toss and place in warm oven until served.
    Cover to avoid dryness.
