Bread And Butter Pickles(Servings: 4) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. cucumbers, sliced
4 small onions, sliced
1/2 c. salt
2 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. turmeric powder
Preparation
-
Cover cucumbers, onions and salt with water and let set overnight.
In morning, drain.
Cook, adding rest of ingredients, until transparent.
Pack hot in pint jars.
Makes 10 to 12 pints.
