The Best Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. maraschino cherries, halved
    1 c. cut up, pitted dates
    1 c. blanched almonds
    2 c. walnut pieces
    3/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Lightly grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Line with waxed paper and grease the paper.
    Mix fruits and nuts in a large mixing bowl.
    Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and sugar over mixture; toss to coat all nuts and fruits with flour.
    Set aside. Beat eggs until foamy, then add vanilla.
    Pour over fruit mixture and stir just until blended.
    Pour into prepared loaf pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
