Pecan Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    12 oz. Cool Whip
    2 c. crushed Ritz crackers
Preparation
    Whip egg white until foamy.
    Add cream of tartar; whip until stiff, but not dry.
    Whip in sugar in small quantities at a time. Fold in crackers, nuts, vanilla and salt.
    Bake in ungreased 9 x 13-inch dish at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool and add whip topping.
    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
