Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 to 8 large green tomatoes
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. corn meal
1/2 c. cooking oil or Crisco
Preparation

Wash tomatoes and cut in slices.
Turn into flour and meal mixture.
Saute quickly in hot fat.
Turn to brown on both sides. Turn heat low and cook, partially covered, until very tender.
A little cream added to the pan just before serving, provides a good sauce.
Makes 6 servings.
