Eddie'S Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
2/3 c. water
2 egg whites
1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients in heavy boiler until dissolved. Boil, then lower heat until a soft ball is formed when you drop some in cold water.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Pour 1/2 cup boiled mixture (cooled some) over egg whites, beating constantly. Keep beating slowly adding syrup.
Add nuts and flavoring.
Beat until mixture holds it shape.
Drop with spoon onto buttered waxed paper.
