Yellow Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. sliced squash
    2 c. sliced onions
    2 c. bell peppers
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Cover
    squash,\tonions and peppers with water;\tadd 1/2 cup of salt.
    Soak for 1 hour and drain.
    Mix sugar, vinegar, mustard seed, celery seed and turmeric.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add squash, onions
    and
    peppers.
    Boil
    for
    5 minutes.
    Seal in jars.
