Corn Dodger - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter or bacon drippings
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except water.
    Pour water over this mixture and beat until well blended.
    Dip hands in cold water. Take a handful of batter and drop onto a greased cookie sheet or griddle.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for about 8 minutes or you can cook on top of stove.
