Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 to 1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/2 tsp. fennel seed
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. parsley
1 large (28 oz.) can tomatoes or 1 qt. home canned or frozen tomatoes or crushed tomatoes
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Brown first three ingredients over medium heat until well browned, 20 minutes.
Drain off fat. Add spices.
Stir well.
Add tomato paste, crushed tomatoes and water, mashing tomatoes with a wooden spoon. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat. Simmer covered and stir occasionally until thick, about 1 1/2 hours.
