Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. finely diced apples (3 or 4)
    1 c. white sugar
    1 beaten whole egg
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 c. chocolate chips
    1/4 c. nutmeats
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix apples and sugar together; let stand while mixing the cake. (Not necessary to use mixer.)
    Mix all of the other ingredients together.
    Add apple and sugar mixture.
    Bake in a 9-inch Pyrex pan which is greased and floured.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes until it tests done.
