Potluck Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes (square chunks)
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion (optional)
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 pt. sour cream
    10 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
    2 c. crushed corn flakes
    1/4 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Use a 3-quart dish.
    Defrost hash browns.
    Combine 1/2 cup of butter with hash browns.
    Mix rest of ingredients together and mix into hash browns.
    Butter a 3-quart casserole and put hash brown mixture in dish.
    Mix corn flakes with 1/4 cup melted butter. Pour over top of mixture.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until done.
