Sweet Fried Cantaloupe - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small cantaloupe
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
2 jiggers creme de menthe liqueur
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 c. dry white wine
1/2 tsp. olive oil
1 egg white, beaten stiff
1 c. olive oil
1 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
Preparation

Cut melon into thin slices; remove seeds and skin.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and liqueur.
Let stand for at least 1 hour. Mix together flour, wine, 1/2 teaspoon oil and a little salt. Blend in stiff egg white.
Dip melon slices into batter and fry in hot olive oil only until light gold in color.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
Serve.
