Poor Man'S Cakes(Fattigmann) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole egg
    3 egg yolks
    4 Tbsp. cream
    4 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1/4 tsp. ground cardamom
    1 1/2 c. flour (approximately)
Preparation
    Beat egg and egg yolks slightly.
    Add other ingredients.
    Use enough flour to make a soft dough.
    Mix, handling as little and lightly as possible.
    Roll out on floured cloth.
    Cut in 2 x 2-inch diamond shapes.
    Make a slit in center and pull one end through.
    Fry in hot lard until lightly browned.
    Drain on brown paper.
    Dust with powdered sugar when cool.
