Corn Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. corn meal
4 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. melted fat
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 egg
Preparation
-
Add corn meal to boiling water; boil for 5 minutes.
Turn into bowl.
Add milk.
Add remaining dry ingredients that have been mixed and sifted.
Add egg, well beaten; add fat.
Cook same as other griddle cakes.
