Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can unsweetened pineapple chunks, drained (reserve juice)
    2 cans (11 oz. each) mandarin oranges, drained (reserve juice)
    1 box (4 3/4 oz.) cook and serve vanilla pudding mix
    1 or 2 cooking apples, cored and cut small (peel left on)
    4 bananas, sliced
Preparation
    Put juice from pineapple and oranges in saucepan.
    Add pudding mix and cook until mixture becomes clear.
    Cool.
    Add pineapple chunks and oranges to sauce when cool, as well as apple chunks and banana slices.
    Fold together and chill.
