Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. squash
    1 medium onion
    1/4 c. green bell pepper
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 ??? grated cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    3 strips bacon or 1/2 c. pan sausage
    1/4 c. bread crumbs
    1/2 stick oleo
Preparation
    Wash squash; cut stems from the ends.
    Cut squash, pepper and onion.
    Place in cooking utensil with enough water to cover squash.
    Cook until squash is tender, then add 3 strips of bacon or pan sausage and cheese.
    Add egg and seasonings.
    Place in greased casserole dish; cook for about 30 minutes.
    During last 5 minutes of cooking, sprinkle top with bread crumbs.
