1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour, sifted
    4 eggs
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening with sugar.
    Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each egg.
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Blend in milk alternately with flour and flavoring.
    Blend in flavoring.
    Bake in 3 (9-inch) cake pans at 350\u00b0.
