Green Beans With New Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. green beans, strung and broken into 1-inch pieces
    8 to 10 new potatoes, scrubbed clean with a brush
    3-inch piece of fatback
    2 to 3 c. water
    bacon grease
Preparation
    Wash beans twice or three times.
    Place in kettle. Cover with water and put in the salt pork and bacon grease (about 3 tablespoons). Cook about 3/4 hour. Scrub the potatoes and put on top of the beans. Cook until the potatoes are tender.
