Hoke Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. self-rising corn meal
1/3 c. self-rising flour
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. buttermilk or whole milk
Preparation

Combine
the ingredients in mixing bowl.
Mix thoroughly.
In large skillet, pour in oil.
When hot, spoon in batter to
make pancake like cakes.
Brown on both sides.
(After oil gets hot, reduce heat to medium-low.)
