Nut Torte(Serves 8) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. pecans, chopped
4 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. orange juice
1 c. whipping cream
1 tsp. orange rind, grated
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Beat the egg yolks in a mixer until thick and light. Then beat in the sugar.
When it forms a ribbon, stir in the flour, salt, baking powder, orange juice (or Jamacian rum) and the chopped nuts.
Beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold them in.
Pour into two 8-inch layer cake pans which have been greased and lined with greased wax paper.
Bake for 25 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
Cool 5 minutes on a wire rack.
Remove from the pans.
Before serving, put the layers together with whipped cream flavored with the grated orange rind.
