Apple Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. biscuit mix
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    2 medium apples, pared and cored
Preparation
    Beat mix, egg and milk until smooth.
    Cut apples crosswise in 1/8-inch slices, dip in batter.
    Cook in oil in hot skillet until golden brown, turning once.
    Serve hot with syrup, jelly or powdered sugar.
