Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground ginger
1 c. canned pumpkin
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation

Combine 1 cup of the flour and first 7 ingredients.
Add rest, except nuts and raisins.
Beat with electric mixer on low and then on high for 2 minutes.
Then add remaining flour.
Beat well. Stir in nuts.
Pour in greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 65 minutes.
Test with toothpick.
