Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. top beef round
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 c. water
    1 medium onion
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    2 medium green peppers
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 to 3 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    3 large tomatoes
Preparation
    Trim fat from meat; cut into strips.
    Heat oil in large skillet.
    Add meat and cook, turning often, until brown.
    Stir in water, onion, garlic salt and ginger.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes.
    Add peppers (cut into strips) and tomatoes (cut into strips) the last 5 minutes.
    Blend cornstarch, sugar and soy sauce; stir into meat mixture.
    Stir constantly until thickened.
    Boil and stir 1 minute.
    Serve over rice.
