Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Cream shortening with sugar.
    Add molasses and eggs; beat well.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add alternately with hot water. Bake in a greased 9-inch square pan for 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
