Shrimp Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 clove garlic, sliced
    1 medium carrot, scraped and sliced
    5 c. water
    1 stalk celery with leaves, diced
    1 qt. (2 lb.) raw shrimp
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Use soup pot. Add water. Bring water to a boil on top of stove, adding all the ingredients except shrimp. Then add shrimp and cook until tender. Drain, reserving fluid. Place shrimp in blender with 2 cups of liquid. Blend until finely chopped. Add to remaining liquid in pot. Serve hot with crackers.
