Fix-Ahead Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. chicken parts
    4 medium carrots
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/2 soup can milk
    1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    6 small onions (optional)
    1 pkg. frozen lima beans
    small potatoes (optional)
    1 small yellow turnip, cut up
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Brown chicken; place in 2-quart casserole.
    Stir soup, milk and seasonings together; add vegetables and cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
    Pour chicken in casserole.
    Cover; can be kept in refrigerator until 1 hour before serving or can be used right away.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour, covered.
    Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes.
