Sophie'S Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Carolina rice
    2 qt. milk
    1 qt. water
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 drop yellow food color
    1 c. sugar
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Bring milk and water to a boil.
    Add pinch of salt, then lower flame to a simmer.
    Add rice.
    Let it simmer until all liquid is almost absorbed.
    Remove pot from flame.
    Add vanilla and drop of yellow food coloring.
    Stir in cup of sugar.
    Cook 1 hour or more when dissolved.
    Pour into bowl.
    Add a sprinkle of cinnamon. Chill.
