Aunt June'S Sky-High Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 egg, beaten
    4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. butter
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and cream of tartar.
    Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
    Add egg and milk, stirring quickly and briefly.
    Knead lightly on floured board.
    Roll or pat gently to 1-inch thickness. Cut into 1 to 2-inch biscuits.
    Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
