Bread Souffle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 slices white bread
    2 c. milk
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 lb. grated sharp cheese
Preparation
    Cut off crust on bread slices.
    Discard.
    Brush each side of slices with melted butter.
    Cut into 1-inch cubes.
    In a 10 x 10-inch casserole layer 1/2 bread cubes.
    Add 1/2 milk and egg that have been whisked together and 1/2 of cheese.
    Remaining bread on top, milk and cheese.
    Let stand at least 3 hours before baking. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Salt to taste (1 teaspoon).
