Cranberry Spice Loaves - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 (1 lb.) can jellied cranberry sauce, crushed
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg. Stir in raisins and nuts.
Combine dry ingredients and sift.
Add to first mixture.
Stir in cranberry sauce.
Spoon into 2 greased and floured loaf pans (9 x 5-inch).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
Cool.
Cut into slices to serve.
Freezes well.
