Cheese Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 bunches broccoli
    2 large cooking potatoes
    1 large onion
    2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
    2 c. grated Cheddar or Swiss
    3/4 c. heavy cream
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 to 2 c. vegetable stock
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    pinch of red pepper
    4 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Melt 2 tablespoons butter in large soup kettle.
    Chop and add onion and broccoli, stirring until crisp-tender.
    Remove to bowl. Heat vegetable stock, adding chopped potatoes, parsley and all spices.
    Add broccoli and onion mixture and cook until desired texture is reached.
    Add cheeses and remaining butter, milk and cream.
