Creamed Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raw pearl onions
    3/4 c. skim milk
    1 1/2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    freshly ground black pepper
    dash of nutmeg (optional)
Preparation
    Parboil onions until tender.
    Meanwhile, make a white sauce. Melt margarine in saucepan. Blend in flour and add milk gradually. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture has thickened.
    Drain onions and add to cream sauce.
    Season to taste. Yields 4 servings.
