Ingredients

1 small onion, chopped (1/4 c.)
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 c. frozen loose pack hash brown potatoes
1 c. finely chopped cooked beef
2 Tbsp. snipped parsley (optional)
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 (5 1/3 oz.) can (2/3 c.) evaporated milk
2 tsp. all-purpose flour
1 green pepper, seeded and cut in wedges (optional)
Preparation

In a 1-quart casserole, cook onion and butter or margarine covered on 100% power (High) for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until onion is tender.
Stir in potatoes, beef, parsley (if desired), Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
Cook, covered, on high about 3 minutes or until heated through.
Stir together evaporated milk and flour, then stir in the meat mixture.
Cook uncovered on high about 3 minutes or until thickened and bubbly, stirring each minute until the mixture starts to thicken, then stirring every 30 seconds.
Cook, uncovered, on high for 1 minute more.
Serve atop green pepper wedges, if desired.
