Cheese Straws - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt (or less)
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cayenne red pepper (optional)
    1 stick butter, softened or melted
    12 oz. New York State extra sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and red pepper 3 times.
    Mix butter with cheese.
    Add dry ingredients, using a fork and/or fingers.
