Steamed Veggies With Rice(Serves 4) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    water
    3/4 c. uncooked long grain rice
    1 1/4 c. sliced carrots
    1 1/4 c. cauliflower pieces
    1 1/4 c. broccoli florets
    1 small zucchini, sliced
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 c. alfalfa sprouts
    1 large tomato, diced
    3 green onions, thinly sliced
    soy sauce
Preparation
    In a 2 1/2-quart saucepan, bring 1 1/2 cups water and salt to a boil. Add rice.
    Cover with tight fitting lid. Bring mixture to a boil, then remove pan from heat. Let stand 30 minutes.
    Do not lift the lid during this time.
