White Taffy Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook all together, except vanilla, without stirring, until candy forms hard ball stage when tried in cold water, or reaches 250\u00b0.
    Remove from heat.
    Pour onto buttered platter.
    When cool, pull until creamy white, working in the vanilla.
    Stretch into long strips about the size of a finger.
    Cut into 1-inch lengths. Wrap in waxed paper.
