Sunshine Ham And Mac - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (7 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni or 2 c. cooked macaroni
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 2/3 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 (6 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 c. chopped ham, cooked
1/4 c. minced green pepper
2 to 3 drops hot sauce (if desired)
Preparation

Cook macaroni according to package directions to have 2 cups. Drain.
In a large saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour and salt.
Gradually stir in milk and water.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to boil and thickens.
Remove from heat.
Add Cheddar cheese; stir until melted.
Add mustard, ham, green pepper, hot sauce and macaroni. Heat to serving temperature or pour into a 1 1/2-quart casserole to heat at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
Yields 5 1/2 cups.
