Holiday Cutouts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. heavy cream
Preparation
    Cream butter.
    Add sugar and beat until light.
    Beat in egg. Add vanilla, sifted dry ingredients and cream; mix well.
    Chill several hours.
    Roll to 1/8-inch thickness and cut with fancy cutters.
    Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Decorate.
    Makes 5 dozen.
