Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
3 eggs, separated
1 2/3 c. milk
4 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. coconut
9-inch pie shell, baked
4 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Combine sugar and cornstarch; beat egg yolks until lemon colored.
Add milk and stir into sugar mix.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.
Remove mixture from heat; add butter, vanilla and coconut.
Pour into cooled pie shell.
Top with meringue.
Make meringue using egg whites and 4 tablespoons sugar.
