Strawberry Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large pkg. strawberry jello
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. boiling water
2 1/2 c. strawberries plus 2 to 3 Tbsp. sugar (if fresh)
1 pt. whipping cream or Cool Whip
red food coloring
10-inch angel food cake, cut up into cubes (2 x 2-inch)
Preparation

Dissolve jello and salt in boiling water.
Add strawberries and chill until slightly set; beat until fluffy.
Add whipping cream (whipped) or Cool Whip.
Add food coloring if desired.
Add cake pieces and mix well.
Pour into greased cake mold and chill overnight.
Place under warm water to help unmold, if needed. Allow to re-chill, if needed, before frosting.
Frost with whipping cream or Cool whip.
Garnish with strawberries.
