Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 whole egg
3 Tbsp. chopped onions
1 c. boiling water
1 Tbsp. sugar

Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients together.
Add onions and then hot water.
Mix eggs in last.
Let set while frying fish.
Drop by spoonfuls into hot grease or oil.
Let fry to golden brown.
