Blueberry Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. milk
1 pt. blueberries (fresh)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Mix shortening with 1 cup sugar.
Stir in egg (beaten).
Add milk.
Sift flour with baking powder and salt and add to mixture. Stir well and add vanilla.
Mix berries (washed and well drained) with 1/3 cup sugar and a little flour.
Stir carefully and add to cake mixture.
Mix all well and pour mixture into a 9 x 13-inch cake pan (greased).
Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until cake tester comes clean.
When cake is cool sprinkle top with confectioners sugar or use thin coat of icing.
