Feather Bed Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large potatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. melted butter (I use more)
    1 egg
    2/3 c. thin cream or evaporated milk
    1 c. whipping cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Cook potatoes until tender; drain and mash.
    Add 2 teaspoons salt, butter and eggs, mixed with cream or evaporated milk.
    Whip until fluffy.
    Place in 3-quart baking dish.
    Whip cream until stiff.
    Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and pour over potatoes.
    Top with grated cheese and brown in hot oven at 425\u00b0.
