Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 Tbsp. salad oil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 green pepper, chopped
3 Tbsp. parsley, chopped or dried
1 large can tomatoes
2 (6 oz.) or 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. sugar
1/3 c. Chianti wine
1 Del Monte hot chili pepper
Preparation

Brown onions, hamburger, peppers and celery in oil. Meanwhile, measure salt, pepper, oregano, sugar and garlic in bowl.
When meat is brown, add tomato paste, wine, mushrooms, seasonings and chili pepper.
Simmer very slowly at least one hour, preferably 3 or 4.
Just before serving, take out chili pepper and stir in 1/4 teaspoon baking soda.
